Integrated Plumbing Systems
With 10 years experience of integrated plumbing systems, CPL have successfully installed Armitage Venestas washroom systems on numerous projects ranging in value from a few thousand pounds to projects in excess of £250,000. One such project was at the new Martin Dawes Call Centre in Runcorn which was completed in 1999. This high profile installation involved the installation of IPS panels, Sanitaryware and WC cubicles to a total of 26 toilet blocks within the centre.
CPL has established a close association with Armitage Venesta, the UK's leading washroom manufacturer. Armitage Venestas' expertise together with on going product development has enabled CPL the opportunity to choose from a wide range of quality washroom systems plus the option to install the new metal framed integrated plumbing system, IPS Evolve.

Mechanical & Electrical Design & Build Project
The construction of a new business park in Bamber Bridge, close to our headquarters enabled CPL to enter into a design and build contract with AMEC Capital Projects for the Mechanical & Electrical works for a new B & Q Superstore.
As well as delivering the installation at site level, CPL joined AMEC's multi-disciplined design team to deliver a fully integrated scheme.
The Mechanical works consisted of:
- Hot & Cold Services
- Ventilation Systems
- Air Conditioning
- BMS Control System
- Electrical Heating
- Incoming Utility Services
The Electrical works consisted of:
- Electrical Distribution Services
- Internal and Emergency Lighting
- General Power
- Telephone, Fire Alarm & Public Address system wiring
- External lighting to car parks, service road/yard and garden centre
The project shows the depth of CPL's expertise in multi disciplined Building Services schemes and demonstrates our commitment to meeting our clients' needs through partnering.
Operating Theatre & Boiler House Installation
In 1999 CPL undertook the installation of the Mechanical Services to a new Theatre block at Beardwood Hospital, Blackburn.
The works consisted of:
- Supply & Extract Ventilation system
- Ultra clean ventilation canopy.
- Medical Gas Installation
- BMS Control System
- Cooling Systems
- Steam Raising Plant
- Domestic Services Installation
- Gas Fired LPHW Boiler Plant
The specialised nature of the installation and the working environment of a functioning hospital meant that the works had to be closely co-ordinated and completed to exacting standards as required for a critical clean medical facility.
The project demonstrated CPL's expertise in managing a multifaceted project team with critical levels of programming.
